Trastevere district in Rome is often described as Rome's Greenwich Village.

Our Trastevere tour is a pleasant walking tour, with your private guide you’ll discover this charming and welcoming part of Rome with plenty of cobblestone alleys, small shops, excellent restaurants, and medieval churches.

You’ll explore the cobbled streets and hidden alleyways that lead you to the medieval church of Santa Maria in Trastevere, one of the oldest and most charming basilicas in Rome.

You will then cross the Tiber river and walk along the historical via Giulia. The tour ends on Piazza Farnese in front of the imposing palace built for the famous Farnese family by Michelangelo.

This tour will broaden your experience of Rome with a visit to this enchanting area most tourists don't visit, and be able to ask questions right on the spot about its history and significance.

Visit Villa Farnesina: a magnificent suburban residence built in the 16th century for Agostino Chigi, the banker of the popes. Paintings by Raphael, Peruzzi and other important artists of the Italian Renaissance have their art hanging on the walls of this great Villa.

Ancient Pharmacy in Via Della Scala: one of the world's best preserved Ancient phramacies. This amazing XVIII century Papal pharmacy still features the original furnitures and tools to produce medicines for cardinals and high prelates.
